This policy explains how Brave Tarnished researches, labels, updates, and corrects Elden Ring guides.
Evidence labels
Research reviewed: the route or answer was checked against current primary material and reliable references, with conflicting claims investigated before publication. Gameplay verified: the instructions were also followed in the game version named on the page. We do not apply this label without direct evidence.
What every guide should contain
A direct answer, starting point, prerequisites, numbered steps, wrong-turn warnings, progression restrictions, related guides, author, review date, game scope, tested version, and sources appropriate to the claim.
Sources and originality
We use official patch notes and publisher material for version changes, then consult reliable references to identify route details and conflicts. We write original instructions and use original screenshots or gameplay when available. We do not copy another wiki’s prose, images, or page design.
Corrections and updates
Version-sensitive pages show a review date and tested version. When a correction changes the route or prerequisite, the page is updated and rechecked. Unresolved conflicts remain in draft or are stated clearly rather than presented as certain.
Videos and structured data
Video is optional. VideoObject metadata is added only when a real public video, thumbnail, duration, upload date, and matching gameplay-verified guide are present.
