The Meteoric Ore Blade is in a chest in an underground chamber beneath the Caelid Waypoint Ruins, in western Caelid west of the Swamp of Aeonia. The entrance to the underground level is a set of stairs going into the ground in the northwest section of the ruins, and the chamber is lined with stone coffins guarded by rot creatures.

Before you set out
- Reach Fort Gael in western Caelid.
- Caelid builds scarlet rot, and it does not fall away on its own. Bring a remedy or keep the visit short.
- The Meteoric Ore Blade needs Intelligence scaling; check your attributes before planning around it.
Follow the route
1. Start at Fort Gael
Use the Fort Gael Site of Grace. The Caelid Waypoint Ruins sit a short distance southeast of the fort, so this is the closest activated grace and the sensible start for this route.
2. Find the stairs down in the northwest
Enter the ruins and look for the staircase going down into the ground. It is in the northwest section of the ruins, not at the main approach from the fort, which is the easiest thing to miss on the first pass.
3. Clear the coffin chamber
The underground room is full of stone coffins, and the area is infested with rot worshippers and Rotten Strays. The cellar here effectively serves as a hatchery, so the enemies come from the coffins as well as the floor. Clear enough of them to reach the inner door.
4. Loot the chest at the back
The Meteoric Ore Blade sits in a chest in the room at the back of the chamber. Open it and confirm the katana in your equipment screen.
5. Check the requirement
The Meteoric Ore Blade scales on Intelligence and causes blood loss. Check its attribute requirements in your equipment screen before planning around it, because picking it up does not bypass them.
Common wrong turns and restrictions
There are two places called Waypoint Ruins in Elden Ring, and only one of them is in Caelid. The other is in Limgrave, east of Agheel Lake, and it is a different site with different loot. If a guide sends you to Waypoint Ruins without naming the region, it may mean the Limgrave one. This guide is about the Caelid Waypoint Ruins only.
The stairs down are in the northwest of the ruins. Arriving from Fort Gael puts you on the southeast side, so you will need to cross the site rather than dropping straight into the cellar.
Do not plan this route around the same trip as anything in the Swamp of Aeonia. Scarlet rot builds up as you spend time in rot-infested ground and does not fall away on its own, so clear this western ruin before you push east.
There is a sorceress who sets up shop at the Limgrave Waypoint Ruins, not the Caelid one. If you are looking for that merchant, you are in the wrong region.
